Turkey has decades of experience planting forests and increasing its share of forested land. Driving around the country, neatly planted rows of trees are everywhere. It represents a huge investment, and the results of these planting are interesting to track. This is also becoming much easier to do with the regular geospatial imagery that is produced. I am particularly interested in efforts that fight desertification and otherwise regenerate land that has been previously deforested.

I am constantly looking to explore these areas and read about the results published around the world.

In the future, I plan to visit forests in Israel, Jordan, China, Colombia, Brazil, and Central Asia.

I am always interested to hear about other forests I should see.
